6x what you think about while watching The Affair part 3

Somehow, it had passed me by until it suddenly became trending again because season 3 was approaching. I devoured the first series as if my life depended on it. Kids in the bath, me on the edge of my bed with an open laptop. My neighbor even saw me cutting tomatoes in the kitchen with my laptop open and a steaming scene of Noah and Alison on my screen. All to reach season three. I’d like to share my findings so far. SPOILER: I won’t reveal everything, but it might be that I leak a drop of information here and there. The Affair 1. Noah and Alison.

What happened? Why didn’t she open all his letters? He sacrificed his life to call himself guilty, didn’t he? I’m waiting for the reveal.

2. Juliette.

I don’t know what to think of the French professor. I find her a sort of pale imitation of Juliette Binoche, and the scene where she is deciphering old manuscripts with glasses and a magnifying glass is almost caricatural. I also find the scene where she indulges in Descent (Noah Solloway’s book) a bit too straightforward.

3. Why doesn’t Noah want sex?.

Kissing Juliette is fine, but when it comes to the heat of the moment, he takes off.

4. Is Noah Hans Klok?.

During two dinners at Juliette’s, Noah and Juliette sneak upstairs for a moment of peace. So that means kissing, and that means running away. But all the students have miraculously disappeared from the house.

5. Who is Alison’s hairdresser?.

But really. That hair. Incredible.

6. Say Cole.

Why are you being so dramatic towards Noah? Okay, he took your wife (but you did father a child with her in the meantime, so…) and he ran over your brother, but a. your brother was a strung-out, annoying kid and b. accidentally hitting someone is still something different than premeditated murder and c. he served time for it.
