André Hazes finally responds: this is how he is doing now

We secretly miss him quite a bit. André hasn't been heard from on Instagram for almost a month.

The singer found it a bit too much at the beginning of July. Now André finally responds to everything he has experienced lately. The 24-year-old Dré is happy that he and his girlfriend Monique (40) have been temporarily apart. ‘Looking back, the breakup with Monique is the best thing that has happened to me,’ Hazes tells Story. They were not together for over a month. Of course, they found it sad, but for André, it was the perfect time to reflect on his life. What does he really want? He got space for that in his head.

André suddenly saw his choices. ‘Just working or becoming old and happy with Monique? I quickly knew that it would be the latter. Of course, I already knew that before, but you only realize what you miss when you no longer have it.’ And oh, how nice it is to hear this. The two are now happier than ever. They never want to lose each other again and yes, André has even talked about marriage. A Hazes wedding: we can’t wait!

‘When the time comes, I want all family members to be there. Then I will get down on my knees and ask my greatest love to marry me in front of everyone. I will make it a beautiful moment. I'm good at that; sometimes I can be very romantic.’ The couple has been parents of little baby Dré since 2016, but that ring has so far remained out of sight. And how nice it is that the little family hasn't completely grown apart, if only for their son.

And André, how is it going with work now? After his new single ‘Later komt de spijt’, André completely disappeared from the spotlight. Good news for all fans: André will probably start singing and performing again soon. At the beginning of July, he had to stay home for at least a month on doctor's advice. He can now better feel what works for him and what doesn't. ‘I now know what I need to do differently, that I need to listen better to the people in my immediate surroundings. I want to be liked by everyone. The first thing I have changed is that I have hired someone who says ‘no’ for me. That way, I won't get overworked and people still find me nice.’
