Are bald men more attractive?
Risky area for me, because my father he is bald (not that attractiveness plays a role for me with him, but I don't want to hurt him), my beloved has a wild mane and a previous lover was quite bald so ouch.
At the editorial office, it immediately leads to discussion. Because one is pro bald team, the other finds it not attractive at all. Fortunately, there is science that provides the outcome. Here we go.
The women
Many women find bald men more attractive. According to science, it has to do with the fact that they associate baldness with adulthood and maturity, which is found attractive. Moreover, women see it as a strong gesture that you just go for it and cut off thinning hair. They stand for something. Anyway, the women, in short, love it.
The archetypes
There are many famous examples that are seen as sexy. Bruce Willis, Jake Gyllenhaal in End of Watch, Nigel Barker, Andre Agassi… We all find them quite acceptable, right?
What about testosterone?
It is said that an increased testosterone level causes hair loss. Bald men would therefore be overflowing with testosterone. But, that is only if you have a genetic predisposition for it. So if you don't mind, I'll stick with my well-coiffed (and well-accomplished) beloved who, in my opinion, was surely among the first in line when testosterone was being handed out (proof). And if you have a bald man, he undoubtedly belongs to the group with the genetic predisposition.
