Ariana Grande about Mac Miller
This weekend you must have seen it: the American rapper Malcolm James McCormick (26), also known as Mac Miller, has died from a drug overdose. The rapper had been using drugs for a long time, which was also the reason Ariana Grande broke up with him. But an overdose? We are quite silent about it together with Ariana. Mac Miller was considered one of the most talented rappers of his generation in the music world. A terrible loss and so super sad.
Last July, the last clip of Mac Miller was released in which he lies in a coffin. Earlier he mentioned in an interview: ‘I’d rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can’t even get out of his house. Overdosing is just not cool. You don’t go down history bc you overdose. You just die.’ On social media, among others, Chance The Rapper and Timberland are reacting, but it was dead silent around Ariana.
Until now. Just now, Ariana Grande breaks the silence after the news that ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died from a drug overdose. Ariana posts a black-and-white photo on her Instagram without a caption, having turned off the comments. Ariana and Malcolm had a relationship for two years until Coachella last April, where Ariana played totally open with her followers on Instagram. She also talked about Malcolm's drug use in a tweet, in response to a fan:
‘I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety and prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course)… Of course I didn’t share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was. I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well.’ Damn, *&^#@)! drugs.
