You can celebrate your own Robinson adventure on these islands
All well and good that unknowns get to participate in Expedition Robinson, but the chances of actually getting to go to that uninhabited island are still pretty slim.
That's why we have good news. Why not pack your own survival suitcase and hightail it to one of the tropical destinations where previous seasons of Expedition Robinson were shot? Exactly. Get rid of those Dutch autumn. Get rid of those brave holidays in an all-inclusive. Adventure is what you want.
That way, you're still pretty much there. But you don't have to participate in all sorts of preliminaries and tests and judgements. Bikini on, a yellow or red band around your head and go for those coconuts on the tree. And: saves you a heap of stress at the infamous elimination. Because your own courtship will surely not send you out of your cabin. Clever plan.
This is where you can all go:
- El Nido (season 6, 2005)
You'll find this in the Philippines. The beach is popular, so it can get crowded. But there are also plenty of secluded spots, of course. - Isla Contadora (season 7, 2006)
Take your bum to Panama and lay yourself down on these white beaches. Light a fire in the hotel and you'll feel like a real survivor in no time. - Tioman (season 8, 2007)
Or you go to Malaysia and just stand in that sea on some loose beam. See how long you can last.
But, should you be unable to choose between all the destinations: by all means, go for a holiday the Philippines. That's where most seasons of the Robinsonssss have been shot so far. Enough palm trees, enough beaches, enough deserted spots and enough idyllic hotspots to film that one owl, spot that one cackling bird and climb that one mango tree. You are Camp North and South in one. You can't lose. Delightful, it seems to us. Put it on.
