‘a sleepover à trois’

It has already been five months since Jon's birthday, but this week we could finally redeem his gift: a sleepover à deux in our own city. Actually, this was planned for his birthday itself, but then he suddenly had to go abroad for last-minute recordings. And since grandma is abroad this week, it became a sleepover à trois including the youngest member of our family. That turned out to be a hit, as we stayed in the Fantastic Suite of the W hotel with a jacuzzi on the rooftop. I quickly need to fix an inflatable pool for our own rooftop.

Now, I am always up for a fashion show, but when the clothes are also wearable and affordable, it makes the show extra fun. Instead of just – often beautiful, but unaffordable – couture, the show by Fabienne Chapot consisted of items that you immediately wanted to add to your wishlist. From shells to hearts and flowers: all the prints brought a smile to my face. Afterwards, I got to peek backstage to see and feel the entire collection up close. I’m afraid I need to start saving for next season…

Last week, I received a life-threatening message from a friend: one of your favorite brands is going to stop, so you should check out the last sale. She didn’t have to say it twice, of course. By Malene Birger's brand A’Journey London is going to disappear, and that makes me a bit sad. All items from the collection were always super fashionable and made from the finest fabrics but still very comfy (all designs had pockets, what a find). I will continue to follow Malene Birger closely in the hope that she will soon create something new.

Last week it finally happened: Otis got to treat his class for the first time. Now, I always found that to be the event of the year, but our little man is still quite oblivious to it. So, I had the sole right to choose the right treat, but that was quite a task. In the end, I found beautiful wooden trains and was quite proud of my super responsible treat, although I secretly look forward to threading liquorice laces with Nibb-it chips # childhood sentiment.
