A small but nice role
For weeks, Marly and I have been looking forward to our family trip to Safaripark Beekse Bergen. I got emotional when I saw all three kids playing together, so sweet! The luxury lodges are really beautifully styled, and I would love to stay there for a whole week. In the morning, we woke up with a view of the giraffes and rhinos right in front of our cottage. The Game Drive was the absolute highlight, where we drove around the grounds in a safari jeep and got super close to the animals. This photo will definitely go in Otis’ scrapbook.
Although I know it's necessary to hydrate well every day, I still can't manage to drink enough water every day after thirty years. When I recently saw such an annoying advertisement on Facebook with a bottle that tracks how many times you've filled it that day, I was almost about to buy it (until Jon saw how expensive this gadget was and wondered if I had gone crazy). Then I searched for such a cool water bottle, so that you want to sip from it as often as possible in a day. I've been using this lovely Aqualicious bottle for a week now, and it really works. They also make beautiful hammam towels in the same print; I can already see myself lying down during our next beach holiday.
I am ab-so-lute-ly not a model, so when I'm asked for a photoshoot, I always find it nice if there's a theme attached: then I can dive into a role and it secretly feels a bit more like acting. So when Kristina from Talkies called me for a shoot entirely in Dynasty style, I was immediately excited. The cans of hairspray were flying off the shelves, and the fake eyelashes were so big that I could barely keep my eyes open, but the result turned out really beautiful. Just two more weeks of patience.
This week I get to step into the shoes of quite an exciting lady for a few days. I can't say too much about it yet, but early next year, a fantastic new series will be on air with the high escort business as the main arena. I do feel a bit like a drag queen with all that makeup, but the bigger the transformation, the more I enjoy it. It's a small but nice role, and what I've seen on set promises a lot of good.
