The new Omoda store is a HIT

Yesterday it finally happened: the Omoda store in Amsterdam was opened. Now I always managed just fine online with our shoe friends, but this store is a feast for the eye and foot. No, they don't sell glasses, but the interior is the epitome of eye candy. That can't be any different if you have Piet Boon willing to design the interior. Because that seems like quite a job, to make a store of this immense size organized, cozy, and still cool. All accomplished.

In this store, you can go with the whole family. Men, women, children; everything is there and the place is big enough to run around (my unstoppable daughters) or to sit quietly on a velvet seat (the man, for example).

Yesterday there was an extremely high concentration of VIPs and fashion-loving people on Van Baerlestraat. They all wanted to admire the new baby of Omoda Miljuschka Witzenhausen, Sanny zoekt geluk, Claire Cliteur, Quinty Trustfull, Kae Sutherland, Billie Rose (from Billie Rose Blog) and all the fashion girls from LINDA., JAN and Glamour.

My evening got an extra golden touch when I suddenly found myself among the army of prize winners and I heard Quinty say my name. ‘But that's nice, I know her.’ And I won my shoe wish; a pair of Hunter boots for the autumn. Bizarrely happy with it.

Of course, I took the opportunity to shop a bit for my dear daughters. This was the harvest.

I would say: go quickly. Perfect for your visit to Amsterdam. Soak up culture at the Rijksmuseum, have a coffee at the Conservatorium Hotel (or at Gordon of course, also nearby) and end the day with a stack of shoeboxes. Filled of course.
