Vintage vibe

Two months ago I moved. After a major population shift and redecorating my house, you would think: the girl is finally ready. A brand new house: everything is white, fresh, and clean, but so new... Don't get me wrong, I love newness (shopping!), but a new look scores higher for me in my wardrobe than in the living room in most cases. I bought kilos of interior ‘must-haves’, but I didn't quite capture the 'this is where Lilian and Devon live' feeling just yet. It needed to be more personal; there should be a story behind the items.

I picked up an antique clock from my grandma (yes, I really asked for it), switched my Ikea photo frames for a collected ‘mess’, my plant pots became baskets, and I scored the most beautiful vintage accessories in just one afternoon. A mix of old and new, or actually, everything is still pretty new except for the clock. I shopped for my vintage items that were anything but second-hand; it was Kwantum (yes really, Kwantum!!) that has the most beautiful vintage collection with this type of saucer as my personal favorite. Not expensive and so easy. Put that eternal search for the most beautiful vintage gems to rest; treasure hunters, eat your heart out.
