The most fun outing with your children
You want culture and entertainment and yes, going out a bit is also fun. I gathered on a sunny Sunday afternoon with my middle daughter (the other two were laid low by the flu) and my business bestie Daniëlle and her lovely Moya at the entrance of the Circustheater.
After counting minutes (what am I saying: seconds) for years at a table in the Kids Zoo or Chimpie Champ (yes, that's really what it's called), they have finally, finally, finally reached the age where it becomes a bit fun for us too. Enter: The Lion King. The most beautiful musical of all, because when you see the sunsets on the savannas, you truly feel like you're in Africa. The outfits, the costumes, the effects where the lion heads fall from the heads and reappear in front of the heads are unprecedented.
Going to a musical is the perfect step to introduce your children to theater and drama. They know the story from the movie and thus understand some artistic interpretations. And The Lion King, you just have to see it. It's an iconic musical that has been running in New York for twenty years (to celebrate that, Beyoncé once played the role of Nala, how cool must that have been) and thirteen years in the Netherlands. It was awarded the AD Audience Award last week, we were not the only ones, in short, who left the theater with a smile.
