Konjac noodles

Every now and then I drop some handy eating tips in the editorial office. Colleague Adeline mentioned that she is so addicted to pasta, but now that she is in the middle of her sports mode, she is leaving the deliciousness behind a bit more often. ’How come?’ came the question from my corner. I revealed my secret to still eat pasta but not take in the calories. Don't get me wrong, I regularly throw a portion of spaghetti into boiling water (only the incredibly delicious linguine from the blue box at the Appie), but when I want to eat light and especially quickly, I toss some vegetables in the pan, fry a piece of fish alongside, and dump a bag of Konjac noodles into the pan. These plant-based noodles contain 90% fewer calories than a normal portion of pasta because they are made from fibers from the root of the Konjac plant. This plant grows in Asian countries. Okay, don't expect the delightful bite of a piece of original Italian spaghetti here, and actually, I think it shouldn't even be called pasta, but well; you won't get a pasta belly from it and with only 10 calories per serving, it's also bikini-proof. Because before you know it, the skirts can come out of the closet again and we have to hit the beach once more. The pleasures without the burdens. So, Konjac noodles, off to the store!
