Why men in good relationships still cheat
Cheating is a hot topic again. Not to do it yourself (hopefully), but mainly to see others completely mess up. All thanks to – guess three times – Temptation Island of course. Just like Kiki (and many others), the editorial team of LotteLust is also busy with the best guilty pleasure program. We are fascinated watching the crying coloring page, therapeutic seducers, and a twerking swan. So many questions arise. Why would you participate in this program? What does Tim do with that Deborah doll when the lights go out? Why do you stay with a girl while you dive into bed with another five times in a year? We're looking at you, Kevin. Again: why are you participating in this program? If it were up to sneaky bastard Mezdi, it would be to sneakily stick his sea cucumber in someone's oyster.
Cheating doesn't only happen on Coconut Beach, but everywhere. As LotteLust, we wanted to know why men in long, happy relationships with a beautiful, fun, lively girlfriend still pick up a sweetheart in another town. We looked it up and the answer isn't great.
The reasons for committing adultery differ enormously between men and women, according to this research from last year. For women, a lack of attention from their beloved is the number one reason to seek their fortune elsewhere. Other motivations are: the lover was very attractive, doubts about the current relationship, the other person was there for me (our Joshua is definitely playing into this), and I wanted to feel sexy.
For men, that list is completely different and frankly a lot more concerning. Here it comes:
- The lover was very attractive.
- The other person was there for me.
- My current partner and I were no longer having sex.
- I was bored.
- My current partner no longer paid attention to me.
Women and men really come from a different planet when you read this. Sigh. You better be alert. These are the most used excuses of men who cheat.
