12 tips to become healthier and more attractive
Give me a timeframe and I start to jump for joy. But really. It’s of course all in your head, but when someone says you’ll see solid results in one month, that works. And if you also claim that science backs it up, I start to cheer. Here are the tips that work, says science. See you in a month, fun.
The 3 times 10 minutes workout
Exercising makes your body change and that can already happen in three workouts of just ten minutes a week. Really, that’s easy for everyone. In two to four weeks, your body will change through your muscles.
Less salt and less takeout
And if you take out less or throw things in the microwave, you already eat less salt. I always position the water bottle next to the pizza box when I order a pizza, because I get such a bizarre thirst. Six grams a day is the max.
Eat plenty of fiber
Skip the sugars or overload of carbohydrates, but eat vegetables, grains, fruits, and nuts. Fiber provides a feeling of fullness and a great bowel movement.
Sleep well
About seven to eight hours a night. If you sleep too little, you easily catch that cold and might even gain weight.
Drink water
Water is good for everything. It pumps your blood around, you feel fitter, you eliminate waste more easily, and you have less craving for sugar and salt. Ideal for point 2.
Apply sunscreen consciously
Yes, it’s wise to apply sunscreen with a factor, but every two hours. And a good cream is also a must. Just avoid the creams and wipes that contain alcohol. If it’s up to the head of dermatology at Yale School of Medicine, we apply a moisturizer with lactic acid as the main ingredient.
Exercise yourself into a good mood
Even more exercise? Yes, even more exercise. With two times fifty minutes of sweating, you produce endorphins and that makes you really happy.
Hummmmmm, meditate more
Maybe you don’t see yourself folding into a lotus position right away, but it affects your blood pressure, reduces anxiety, and you can also meditate stress out the window.
Power napping
Hey May, are you reading along? Around two o'clock we take a nap, that’s our biorhythm. What to do? A cup of coffee and immediately close your eyes for twenty minutes. Nice and short, because then you won’t feel sleepy and the caffeine kicks in when you wake up.
Be honest
And then to yourself. It helps if you admit that something is going a bit less smoothly.
Take a moment to look at yourself
And see yourself at the top of your game. You’re done. Imagining it helps to make it happen. We can do this.
Your loved ones
If your relationships are right, it makes you happier than a pile of money or being the smartest in the class.
Give this all a month and you won’t recognize yourself anymore. Or will you, from point 11.
