Dear Mr. WhatsApp, do you have a moment?
Mr. WhatsApp, Mrs. WhatsApp, we are happy, a life without the green square is almost unimaginable. But we do have, as always, some points for improvement and wishes to bring to your attention, for the record.
1. Remove last lines
Look, if you know that two people know each other well and the complete WhatsApp conversation has been deleted, then you know: trouble. Affair, argument, hassle. It smells, in short. But it can of course be that you want to delete a number of confidential phrases in your app conversation without losing the rest of the chatter. Can you arrange that?
2. Delete message
That is possible nowadays, but the recipient always sees that the message has been deleted. This makes a. the suspense often unnecessarily great (why did you delete a message?) and b. you deleted something for a reason, precisely to not let someone else know something. What’s the point in telling the other person? Sorry that I suddenly speak English, but that felt very appropriate here. So we want to delete a message, but we don’t want anyone to see that it has been deleted.
3. Leave the group invisibly
Maybe I suggested this some time ago as well, but since you haven't honored it yet, I’ll repeat it. I would like to leave a group chat unnoticed. Now it’s such a statement: I can’t sit with you, while you don’t mean it that way at all.
4. CC someone
I would like to message something to multiple people, but starting a group chat feels a bit too much for me. So I would like to be able to CC someone in the app.
5. Listen to voice message yourself
We would like to listen to our voice message before sending it. Do you think this is possible?
6. Edit message after it has been sent
How often do you not look at your message and see such an intensely annoying typo? You want to quickly fix it, but that is no longer possible. Unless you delete the message and type it again. But then you have the ‘message-deleted-dolls’ dancing again.
So, what do you think, will it work? We are grateful.
