Finally: the Dutch Bridget Jones is here
You can never really listen to ‘All by myself’ again without thinking of that lovely Bridget who is sitting on the couch singing with her bottle of wine as her only companion, right? Exactly.
Now there is good news for everyone who misses Bridget a little. A Dutch Bridget is coming. What a celebration. Soon we can enjoy the film Doris, in which Tjitske Reidinga plays the lead role. She came up with the script herself and can best fill in the delightful role herself.
What is it about? Doris is 45, divorced, mother of two children, and has landed at a rather dull point in her life. She calls herself in the film ‘a pathetic case, without money, without a man, who spends the whole evening watching Ik vertrek and Heel Holland Bakt’. Nevertheless, she is supported by her best friend Tim no matter what. Doris was previously seen as a television series, but it is finally time for some movie enjoyment. We could use a dose of fun in the cinema again, right?
Starting Thursday, September 20, you can enjoy this brand new hit, the Dutch Bridget Jones. Let it be September soon.
Are you also looking forward to lying back and staring at the screen? Here is the trailer to get you in the mood:
