For all the stress chickens: smelling your partner helps

I understand that you might be a bit confused right now and perhaps thinking: what on earth is this about? But smelling your partner's scent seems to have a positive effect on your chill level. In fact, if you're stressed: a little sniff-sniff works wonders.

For the study (published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology), 96 women were presented with three different scents: a neutral one, their partner's scent, and the scent of a stranger. They were also exposed to an acute stress factor and their heart rates were monitored. What happened? Women who sniffed their lover's T-shirt felt measurably less stressed.

So, my tip to all couples? When things get tough and you can't handle it all for a moment, just sniff the sweater of your boy (or girl). You're welcome, by the way.
