In Den Bosch lies the “Korte Putstraat”, a tiny street that only knows cozy restaurants. As the name suggests, it is a lovely quaint spot to settle down with your loved one.
Amsterdam: Hoftuin Dignita
If you're looking for me, I'm here. Not for that snack board, but for the tastiest brunch dishes and the best oat lattes. The Hoftuin makes you forget that you're in the middle of the city, and kids can run around in the greenery.
Maastricht: Marres Kitchen
One of my favorites in Maastricht. A hidden gem in the city center. Whether you sit inside or on the sun-drenched terrace, both are equally nice. Have your own lunch board made or go for the insanely good baba ganoush with homemade falafel. If I'm back to my roots, there's a good chance I'll be sitting here.
Noordwijk: Branding
This lovely beach tent transforms in winter into the cozy Winter Lodge where you can enjoy a spot by the crackling fireplace or in one of the cozy seating areas in the greenhouse. In summer, of course, you prefer to plop down in a sheltered corner with a bottle of sunscreen and an ice-cold glass of rosé. Go there hungry, because the menu is so good that you're guaranteed to have choice stress.
Rotterdam: Aloha
Aloha is a restaurant, bar, city park, coffee roastery, and terrace all in one, and in a very special location. This hip spot is located in the white-water course of a former tropical swimming paradise. The terrace, which was previously the old outdoor swimming pool, overlooks the Maas and is one of the most beautiful spots in Rotterdam.
Utrecht: Key West Beachhouse
Settling down in a soft spring sun by the water with your loved one on the right and a cheese-covered plate of nachos on the left; you don't have to think twice about that, right? Or will you go for the Yacht Club Platter with tuna, sashimi, smoked salmon that melts in your mouth, and fried garlic shrimp with homemade aioli?
Bergen op Zoom: Villa Heidetuin
