If you still don't know what to do on King's Day

Just in time. I can hardly imagine it, but if you don't know how to celebrate the birthday of our Willem tomorrow, then I am your savior in need. From Groningen to Maastricht; this is where you need to be for an overkill of orange. And if you still don't know what to wear, I have some tips for that too. Long live the king!

Groningen

Do you want to see Willempie, Max, and the princesses in person? Then you have to go to the north this year. The royal family will be shaking hands in Groningen. Mayor Den Oudsten of Groningen expects to welcome around 80,000 visitors to the city on King's Day. Along the king's route, there is space for about 30,000 spectators. You better be early!

Amsterdam

Flea Market

King's Day means flea market; you know it, I know it. Whatever happened the night before, my alarm goes off early on the king's birthday. Nothing is more fun than scouring stalls in search of gold. Just like I'm a huge fan of digging through the junk? The Pijp, Amstelveld, Noordermarkt, Westerpark, the Jordaan, Thorbeckeplein, and the DSM Vrijhaven are where you need to be. Want to meet me? Then I'll see you around eight o'clock at Apollolaan.

Utrecht

And if you're like me looking for that piece of gold at the flea market but want to stay outside Amsterdam, Utrecht is a very good alternative. The city is known for its large King's market for a reason. Where do you need to be? Where not, I could better say. The entire city center is cordoned off anyway, so it's better to come by public transport or bike. The Utrecht flea market starts on Thursday evening, April 26, at 6:00 PM and ends on King's Day around six o'clock.

Breda

538King's Day

538 is back with one of the biggest and coolest parties during the king's birthday: 538King's Day 2018. Go all out at Chasséveld in Breda with music from Armin van Buuren and Hardwell, Lucas & Steve, and Dré Hazes.

Eindhoven

Supersized Kingsday Festival

In Eindhoven, you can go to the annual recurring party at Aquabest. If you like to go hard, then this is where you need to be. It promises to be another pounding year with the biggest names and the thickest line-up in the harder style.

Rotterdam

In addition to a lot of fun parties, you will also find a humongous fair in Rotterdam on Willempie's birthday during King's Day. No less than sixty attractions will be ready for you at Lloyd Multiplein by the Schiehaven. The largest fair for adults is Oranjebitter, which will be extra fun this year as they celebrate ten years. Not only will the coolest DJs play the necessary tunes for you, there will be live music, food, a ball pit, a Ferris wheel, and a trampoline. And I haven't even mentioned the disco skating rink yet. YES, girlfriend, you want this!

The Hague

Celebrate the king's birthday in the Hofstad and step aboard a golden carriage or a historic tram. On King's Day, you must be in The Hague if you want to be overwhelmed by cultural activities, walks, boat trips, and guided tours.
