It exists: you can be allergic to sports

There aren't really many advantages to being heavily pregnant during these cozy - alcoholic days of the year, because let's be honest: you can't really join in with the company.

Plus: you can't really sit at the table for very long. Or dance. Or sit. But what is a nice additional benefit is that I don't have to feel guilty at all about the fact that I, let's say, never exercise. Zero. Yes, I walk, and I bike, but that’s it. Normally, I would have some trouble with that and struggle with a hefty sense of guilt, but with those boys in my belly, lying on my back is already heavy.

For everyone who around summer definitely shouldn't think about a gym, weights, and strict classes: good news. You can simply say that you are allergic to exercise. That actually exists. The condition is called exercise-induced anaphylaxis - and it is quite serious. About 8,500 Dutch people suffer from this condition. What is particularly dangerous is that it happens in combination with eating. For example, you eat peanuts, then go exercise, and before you know it, you have an allergic reaction. That is caused by that physical exertion.

How you can get it is not entirely known yet, but there have been serious cases reported where people actually have a shock during or after exercising. And since we eat so much during these weeks, it's just safer to stay lying on your couch. You're welcome, huh.
