It's all very expensive, but yes, it's nice.
July is the new December. Do you still have some savings in your account? Shame on you. You better spend it now.
Because being broke in July is actually very healthy. Good for you. A great plan. The best thing you can do. Because: those who are broke in the summer have a cozy and happy life. We are sure of that. Every evening on terraces with white beers and light rosé? Yes. Having to buy a new summer dress every day? Absolutely. A boat party every week, a beach day or a park party? Yes and yes and yes indeed. It's all very expensive, but yes, it's so much fun. And so social. In short: the less money you have left, the larger your circle of friends probably is and the fuller your agenda is filled with scribbled appointments at the coast and by the water, the better. You go, girl.
These are exactly the times of the year that are the most expensive. You want to be everywhere and you've been busy with barbecues, boats, and beer for four weeks in a row. It's summer and so the party. Every day. Dutch people would save an average of 216 euros per month. A household in the Netherlands has an average of 45,000 euros in the bank. Nice, fine, very good job,
but we bet that in July just a little less is deposited into the household account. That savings jar will be back in October. Now is the time to make memories that we can still rely on during that rainy morning in January.
Just remember that in 56 days it will be autumn. Do you already see the colorful leaves, the pouring rain, and that overflowing savings account in front of you?
