Just a bit more about the candidates of Expeditie Robinson...

Get ready because I'm telling you: this is going to be an amazing season. So good as all the participants who are starving themselves on an island are known and the candidates this year are delightful to the power of two. If you've been living under a rock (or don't know half of the people); let me catch you up with a few keywords. Much easier.

In the left corner Camp North…

Loiza Lamers
Model. First transgender to win Holland’s Next Top Model in 2015.

Gregory Sedoc
Former Dutch hurdler. Competed in the Olympics three times. Now works as a personal trainer, police officer, and analyst at NOS.

Tony Junior
DJ and producer. Boyfriend of singer Maan. Own YouTube channel.

Toine van Peperstraten
Football presenter. Did NOS Langs de Lijn for years. Now at FOX Sports. Radio DJ.

Johnny Kraaijkamp
Actor. Het Zonnetje in Huis. Theater. The Addams Family. Voice actor. Most likely ‘the old pro’ this season.

Stijn Fransen
Actress. Plays Sam in Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden. Former Spangas actress. Came second in Dance Dance Dance.

And then Camp North has a ‘secret’ seventh camp member…
Which I am actually quite sure about: hi Famke Louise. Vlogger. Model. Rapper/singer (opinions are still divided on that). Nice to have you here.

And in the right corner Camp South…

Nienke Plas
YouTuber. Comedian. Presenter. Hilarious woman. I thank God on my bare knees that she is participating. Prediction: she will go far this year, I feel it.

Donny Roelvink
A.k.a. The Don. Temptation Island Vips. Completely stepped out of the shadow of his brother Dave. Son of Dries, yes. Fitboy to the max.

Jody Bernal
From that summer hit in 2000, ‘Que sí que no’. Stars Jumping, Stars Dancing, Stars Swimming; you name it and he was in it. Just became a father.

I Am Aisha
Hip hop artist. Biggest hit with ‘Zulke dingen doe je’. (‘You go out but can’t pay the rent’…). Works among others with Ronnie Flex, Boef, and Ali B.

Josyilvio
Rapper. ‘Hey girl, my eyes can't look away (Eyo) Eyo girl, from afar I can already see you appearing (Eyo)’

Steven Brunswijk
Nickname: the Braboneger. Comedian. Touring theaters from September.

And then Camp South also has a ‘secret’ seventh camp member…

Which we honestly are not completely sure about yet (will be announced on August 30), but we guess Samantha Steenwijk. A.k.a. the tearjerker nightingale from The Voice.

And finally: the camp of the unknowns. Where there is still, eh, very little known.
