Lil’ Kleine is making a career switch next month

Jorik Scholten knows what he wants. To throw a good party. And preferably in his own place.

That's why the rapper is opening his party café next month. The plans have been in the works for a while, but now it's really happening. Just a little career switch, then. He has also announced what the place will be called: ’t Lammetje. I think it's a fitting name. Lam, as in drunk, so ’t Lammetje. You can't go in sober,” jokes Jorik.

Okay, it is a bit different from rapping, but not too far from drinks and drugs, so. Definitely something different from a paper route. Just kidding. Still, he doesn't really want to play his own music in his café in Amsterdam. It will mainly be Dutch sing-alongs, like the hits from Hazes. Lil‘ Kleine is now a real entrepreneur: he also has his own fries shop at Rembrandtplein and he will soon launch his own clothing line.

But, fans of our Lil’: no worries. He will continue to make music alongside all the serious business deals. And he will keep rapping. He will really remain Lil’ Kleine. “I still have to start on a new album. But my old album is still in the charts, there are still a few nice shows coming up and my tour has just ended. Then it's time to start on a new album. And in twenty years, it's time for a vacation.” We understand. Busy man, that Jorik.

We'll come by soon to have an ice-cold beer with you, you know. We're already looking forward to it. See you at ’t Lammetje, bye.
