I'm hooked. For all young friends, a little lesson: Daniëlle Oerlemans, no Overgaag, is a Dutch cyclist who is married to TV producer Reinout Oerlemans. Daniëlle was among the top Dutch cyclists and was the girl in the Andrélon-Pam-you-hair-dance commercial. Isn't that fun? Another nice fact: she had a relationship with Lance Armstrong.

Daniëlle became a presenter, but when she got married and had a large family, running that family became her job. And what a job it is. Just look at her account and see what that woman does. And how she decorates houses. I'm captivated. The children are Kennedy-handsome. Oldest son has to be scouted every day in LA (because yes, they live there now) because it's bizarre how good-looking he is. And her younger son is also bizarrely good-looking. Just like the girls, who I think are also very nice. As you can hear in a video where they sing Sinterklaas songs and one of the girls doesn't quite remember the lyrics. “Look, there comes the steamship from Spain again. It brings us to Greece...” And then a loud laugh from the rest of the family.

I know that Daniëlle is a down-to-earth, loving wife. Daughter of a chrysanthemum grower from Westland, and that's a good thing, because if anyone can bear the wealth and still appreciate the essence of life, it's her. And the wealth is great.

Their house in the Netherlands, for example. It was for sale for about a million or eight. And everything decorated by Daniëlle, who is really very good at that. Then the house in LA. There's a video of that. But that house wasn't entirely their dream house. As amazing as it is, I can imagine that. It's more of a villa where you would film Sexual Sushi or Les Femmes Erotiques (I just googled these porn films) than your dream family home. So something new was bought. And since then, I've been addicted to the instastories where Daniëlle keeps us updated on the renovation. Then I see twenty men pouring concrete on the driveway. Then again a shot from below of what will one day be the swimming pool. Then again a before and after of the hall, so big that our entire editorial team can fit in it. And that's interspersed with her ‘regular’ instafeed, where she parties with Gwyneth Paltrow, has a drink with Helen Fielding, or flies to Las Vegas with friends (where Ayda Williams, Robbie's wife, is one of them) for a performance by Jennifer Lopez. Where they also take a photo together.

And then there are the vacations. With daughters in a hot tub in the snow in Aspen in winter, and in summer on a yacht somewhere in the Mediterranean where they also have lunch with the Borsato family. And oh yes, Daniëlle is only getting more beautiful. Muscular arms, perfect white teeth, good hair.

And I'm not going to criticize this very Dutchly. These people have both worked very hard. Peaked and declined (Daniëlle and Reinout lost a son after five months of pregnancy and Reinout had a serious heart attack, and that's just what we know) and live a life that many wouldn't even dare to dream of. And they built this together. What about the American dream? This is the Dutch dream and I indulge in the instastories (and have respect for how she manages all this because renovations like these don't seem like fun) and applaud from a distance.
