Me & My Renault
Fleur van Heemskerck
For two reasons, I am already intensely jealous of Fleur van Heemskerck. One: she was for a long time the neighbor of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (she has never seen them in real life because the plots are quite large, but she did receive baby clothes that belonged to their children for her sons) and she simply has her own wine: the Fleur de l’Amaurigue, which has also won a lot of awards. We are both team wine and team Renault, so that’s why I roll out the red carpet for her.
What car do you drive?
‘Since 2014, I have been driving a black Renault Clio Estate. That was the moment I started selling the Fleur de l’Amaurigue wines in the Netherlands and Belgium for myself.’
How many kilometers do you drive on average?
‘The warehouse where our Fleur de l’Amaurigue wines are stored and from where we deliver to our customers is located in Velsen. I go there several times a week from Amsterdam, but I often drive past my customers who are in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Rotterdam, Scheveningen, Laren, and Loenen in the afternoon, so on average about 400 kilometers per week.’
What trips have you been on together?
‘The Renault Clio Estate is ideal for city trips. I have been to Antwerp and Berlin with it, but also for work to wine fairs or tastings in Düsseldorf, Brussels, and Bordeaux.’
What are the three biggest advantages of this Renault?
‘Easy ride: it drives very nicely and nimbly. It is an elegant and stylish car that is also tough at the same time. I have to be in Amsterdam a lot to deliver to customers and it always fits perfectly in all the narrow streets and thanks to Easy Park Assist in the smallest parking spot. It is also spacious; it has surprisingly much space, I regularly drive with my two children and their friends in it, but it can also fit up to 25 boxes of wine.‘
What does it cost?
Via private lease from Renault you already drive a Renault Clio from €239,- per month. And that includes road tax and maintenance, and that is all for a fixed amount per month. Win-win-win according to us.
