Very uncomfortable TV at The Bachelor

Good morning folks. As you know, I really enjoy a little TV drama. And that’s exactly what happened last night. What happened? Arie Luyendyk Jr. (you know, the Dutch hunk from the American series The Bachelor) made a rather silly mistake on TV. If you don’t want spoilers, click away now now now.

Are you still there? Good. So, that silly mistake. Arie proposed to the wrong person. I shit you not. Last night (yes something with American times) it was revealed that the son of race car driver Arie Luyendyk decided last minute not to marry be with Becca. HUH? A little explanation. In the final episode, we saw him go down on one knee for his ‘great love’ Becca, but afterwards it turns out that this went a bit differently. After the show, the two started dating, and then Arie had doubts. In the most recent episode, mister heartbreaker tells Becca that he doesn’t want to continue with her. He made a mistake because he still has feelings for Lauren. You know, that other finalist he initially rejected. Painful.

Is it intentional? Is it a clever publicity stunt? We shall never know. The fact remains that Arie and Lauren are now a couple. Man man, talk about a plot twist. Nice going, Arie. What have we learned? Do not try this at home, people. Do not try this at home.
