Oh yes
SATC's Cynthia Nixon wants to become governor of New York
Good morning dear people, time for the morning newspaper. The news we need to talk about today? Cynthia Nixon. She did something last night that made Twitter explode.
The rumor mill has been turning for a while, but Cynthia (still Miranda Hobbes from Sex and the City for me, duh) has now officially confirmed it: YES, she is running for the governorship of New York. And I don't know what it is, maybe it's that time of the month again, maybe it's because Americans are really good at winning hearts and giving persuasive speeches, but damn, Miranda hits me right in my heart. And I don't even come from New York. Please watch this video before you continue reading:

“New York is my home. I’ve never lived anywhere else. When I grew up here, it was just my mom and me in a one-bedroom fifth-floor walk-up. New York is where I was raised and where I’m raising my kids. I’m a proud public school graduate and a prouder public school parent. I was given chances I just don’t see for most of New York’s kids today.”
Do you get me? Do you feel me? That voice, that conviction. This could be a brilliant idea.
Meanwhile, Cynthia is of course trending number one on Twitter – in both New York and all of America. Hashtag #Miranda is at number two. All just a weird publicity stunt? No way, if you’ve followed Cynthia even a little bit after her Sex and the City period, you know she has been an activist for a long time and cares about healthcare, education, and LGBT issues. Going into politics sounds logical to me.
Can someone please make that woman governor very quickly? #MirandaHobbesForPresident. The ending of SATC that we so deserved.
