Frozen strawberry margarita

Now the frosé and the frosecco a huge hit in cocktail land, I can only think of a frozen variant of the strawberry margarita. The tequila, the lime, the strawberries, and the salty rim around your glass: you know it well. But with ice, crushed ice, slush puppy ice, that all-time favorite cocktail is really a next level in the sun on your terrace. And making it yourself? That's a piece of cake. No fussing with difficult liqueurs, shakers, scoops, and straws; no, an easy (in two steps!) cocktail to make in a très instagrammable glass. Here it comes:

What do you need?

  • 30 ml tequila
  • 15 ml triple sec
  • 10 fresh strawberries
  • Coarse salt
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • 10 ice cubes

Step one

Pour the tequila, triple sec, and lime juice into the Phillips High Speed vacuum blender and add the strawberries. Use the quick select button to mix immediately and create a vacuum in the blender jar so your strawberries stay nice and fresh. Then add the ice cubes and crush them with the special ice cube button.

Step two

Sprinkle salt on a small plate. Rub the lime wedge along the rim of the cocktail glasses and dip the rim in the salt. Pour the cocktail into the glasses and slurp away.

And just imagine, suppose you went a bit overboard with the amount of milliliters, strawberries, or ice cubes: it happens to the best of us. You don't have to keep drinking (but you can, of course), because thanks to the Stay Fresh vacuum technology, your drink stays as fresh all day as it was at the moment of preparation. That means on Friday you can slurp with your love and on Saturday night have that same blend session chilled and ready for toasting until the late hours with the girls. Oh, and if you're not such a strawberry fan: you can of course switch the strawberries for raspberries, watermelon (also definitely a recommendation), or lime. Cheers, babes!
