Smart people go on vacation with their colleagues
Right now, we are talking more about suitcases than about handbags. And yes, that says something.
Because it's time for some spring fun abroad. And no, we are not going with man, dog, and kids to le soleil: we are going together. Almost the whole bunch is leaving for Paris Paris this weekend, la vache qui rit (sorry, I can't speak French. Je suis Néerlandaise). That will mean a lot of croissants, photoshoots, and annoying moments together. And oh yes, we are also going to enjoy work. Of course. Exciting things are on our way, guys, really (thankfully my English is a bit better developed. You know, right).
Going away together always creates a bond. If you go with your husband, it's good for your sex life. If you go with your best friend, it's guaranteed to be real quality time. But it's also very wise to go with colleagues. Because being a bit friendly with the people you sit behind a desk with for eight hours a day is a particularly good plan. This way, you would have a 40 percent higher chance of salary increase if you have a good relationship with others at work.
That's not all. You work more productively, especially because you get honest feedback from people with whom you have a bond. If you stay a bit distant, your colleagues won't quickly correct your mistakes or share crucial tips that could be important for your career. And well, the best memories are made during a night or two away together. Investing in your nine-to-five-family so. And then Paris-style again. What lucky people we are.
We are extra excited for the upcoming weekend. Because Amayzine goes Paris. And what we are going to do the week after that... Oe la la. Stay tuned.
