So many friendships a love affair really costs you

When you're head over heels and you feel nothing more than butterflies in your body, it's logical that you only have eyes for this person.
A dinner with a girlfriend? Boring, no time for that.
Because what is better than experiencing adventures with your lover, cuddling in bed, or just having good conversations? You gladly make time for your lover and before you know it, you spend a lot of hours together each week. And that comes at the expense of some friendships, as research shows. According to experts, as adults we have about five really good friends, who are always there for us, with whom we have fun weekly and whom we speak to daily. According to psychologists, you have three to four people closest to you in your life, aside from your parents and siblings. The next circle contains about 15 people you also speak to regularly and often. But when you're in love, you can lose two good friendships just like that.
According to researchers, a love affair costs you at least two real friends. The reason? Simply a lack of time. Your new relationship takes a lot of attention and energy, and therefore you just have less time for your buddies. Fortunately, it is true: your best friends remain. So the select group that remains consists of your real gems. Cherish those dear ones you still see a lot during your relationship, because now you know they are absolutely friends for your whole life and that is worth more than anything.
