So many percent report sick to be able to enjoy nice weather

It's a bit of a shame: you're on your bike in your short skirt with your coolest sunglasses on your nose, and you just have to pedal to the office, to spend the whole day in the air conditioning at 29 degrees.

Working through the summer has its pros and cons. Advantage: it's often nice and quiet at the office and that works quite relaxing. Disadvantage: in this hot weather, it feels like being locked up and you only think about a beach with gin tonics between your Excel sheets. Some employees turn their daydreams into action and yes, they report sick at work without any shame while they are not sick at all. In fact, they take a day off to fully enjoy the nice weather.

How many people spend Monday morning just in the sun while their boss thinks they are sniffling and feeling fluish in bed? At least 39 percent of people do this. Sorry, but how bad is that. You might run into your colleague. Or another friend who also shouldn't know that you've secretly taken a day off. What is really bizarre is that 30 percent of people also just admit that they would do it again like this. Just every summer, let's say, a sneaky day off. The legs are tanning in the time of the big boss, that idea. The majority of people who have done this say they use the extra day off for the beach or to go shopping. The most popular days to call in sick are, not surprisingly, Mondays and Fridays. Shame on all of you.

Because what is wrong with a good old vacation day? Just take a genuine day off, I would think, because then you enjoy your bonus Monday even more. Then you don't feel sneaky and false. Then you can really lie back on that beach bed and be happy with every sip of rosé. Come on, be a woman and be honest. Because it could cost you your job... Then you'll hate everything that has to do with sand and sea for the rest of your life, right?
