Amayzine

This way you know that you have your own business

Last week I had a sip with Liesbeth and she reminded me of what I said when she left Amayzine. When someone leaves you, you exist as a company. Because what started in an attic room has suddenly become a real organization. That's why I came up with my own checklist. This way you know you are becoming a company.

There are people gone

There are people in. There are people who have been working with you from the beginning (Daantje!!!) and almost from the beginning (Lil!! Annick!!) and there are people who have to stay with you until their retirement (Adeline!! Kiek!!! Annabelle! SIMOON! Nikita! Lotte!) and there are interns who were too good/fun/lovely/cute/good/one more time/dedicated to not stay with you (ANNICK! Annabel!).

Interns

You had them in all shapes and sizes. You once fired one within a week. On the spot. You hired people. You placed interns with friends because they were too good to not bring to another nice company and yes, there are also interns whose names you no longer remember. Sorry. Because there were so many. And because you are now so old.

Not that

Once you thought it was fun to play fashion films, burn only diptyque candles, and get fresh flowers every week. That lasts exactly a month. After that, you are too busy.

There are company loves

Jet and Ward. Ooo Jet and Ward. Vanja and Josefine.

There is a love baby

Really. If a love baby has come from your company, wow. Then you have an official status.

Things happen that you are not aware of

Then I see Adeline chairing a meeting, or Annick is again guiding guests to the door with whom she has closed a deal, or Daan ensures that the cabinet is suddenly painted black.

Guys, soon we will be walking here with a click card through a revolving door. Madness. But can I say that I am quite bizarre and crazily proud of all of us in the meantime?
