The items that make us want it to be winter now

From extreme heat to gray skies and rain showers; there can never be a golden middle ground. It seems like autumn is secretly on its way and the only positive aspect is that we can look forward to the new winter collections again. Yet, alongside the winter sweaters and warm coats, you also see a lot of airy materials passing by, waiting for that Indian Summer. And for those new must-have collections, I certainly didn't have to search internationally: in our own little country, many beautiful collections are being designed. Especially for you, I went on a quest and have lined up the latest must-haves from our own soil.

• This winter, you can't escape animal prints. Leopard, tiger, or zebra; all the big brands showcased a cozy animal print on the catwalk. If you're immediately thinking of a tacky Nel Veerkamp outfit: one print is not the same as the other. This velvet animal printed set from ALIX The Label combines two trends in one and you can also chicly combine it in the evening with a high heel and a black blazer. So awaken the tiger in yourself and score a nice animal print for this autumn.
• The stores are filled with the most beautiful shades of brown, and this upcoming winter, the streets will be filled with this color palette. Pecan is one of my favorite colors and luckily you see this shade a lot in the new collections. From Fabienne Chapot – who has designed a collection that makes you extremely greedy – this dress (in my favorite color!) is high on my wish list.
• My favorite winter item is definitely a nice coat. This autumn, we will see a lot of teddy and lammy coats passing by again and I am already saving for the ultimate piece from Frenken. The fit, color, and material are just perfect. Do you ever feel genuine love for a clothing item? In any case: this coat was love at first sight.
• Silk and prints are an absolute go! I personally love matching outfits in the same print and prefer to buy a two- or three-piece set. At Scotch & Soda, you will find amazing prints, like this matching purple print outfit.
• Do you have a nice metallic hanging in your closet? Perfect, because then your closet is completely up to date. From a hysterical silver color to gold; as long as you have a metallic item ready for this season, you're all set. I've been in love with the Dutch brand Les Coyotes de Paris for a while now, and this upcoming season they have a killer metallic dress in their collection.

Phew, that means saving again for a while...
