These hotspots will open soon in Amsterdam

One of my favorite pastimes on the weekend? Staying in bed for a long time and binge-watching one Netflix series after another. Just kidding, of course. Just like during the week, getting up ultra early to land at a nice spot with an oat cappuccino and the newspaper via my regular sports class. I prefer to then move on to a new hotspot for a nice lunch, and then transition to the next new gem via a glass of wine. And there are quite a few. Because did you know that an average of about five to six new hospitality venues open in our capital every week? Curious about who will be opening their doors soon? Let me catch you up.

1. Yerba

Number one without a doubt. At this plant-based hotspot, you don't have to wait anymore. Yerba is open and you want to go here. And you really don't have to be a vegetarian...

2. Vegan Junk Food Bar Oost

Our favorite vegan spot is getting its third location. The location is not yet known, but it will be near the Dappermarkt.

3. Taka Japanese Kitchen

You might know Chef Taka. Especially if you spend more time in the toko than in the local Dirk. The chef is known from the Toko on the Wallen and is now getting his own restaurant on Jan Pieter Heijestraat.

4. Duke Of Tokyo

I feel a editorial outing coming up. At this new Japanese karaoke bar, you can rent your own space and enjoy sakes in the meantime.
 

5. Le Bleu Citron

A French bistro with real classics and perfectly matching wines. A steak tartare s’il vous plaît, with a piece of crispy French bread.

6. Loetje Zuidas

Yes, the Loetje family is expanding and it will be on the Zuidas, with an outdoor area. Beef steak Bali, medium rare please.

7. Dophert De Pijp

One of the coolest vegan spots in the city is getting a sister, and it will be in De Pijp. Excited!

8. Tonton Club Oost

Fan of the TonTon Club? Lucky you. More TonTon is coming, with no less than twenty arcade games, American/Japanese comfort food, and an atmosphere like you’re used to.

9. Pita 3.0

Vegan döner kebab will soon be available on the Overtoom.

10. Venkel Oost

You know, that incredibly nice salad bar. They will soon open their doors in the east of the city. They not only have the tastiest salads, but also a healthy snack for drinks or a nice juice, you can settle here. Inside or on the sunny terrace.
 

11. Yummy Hummus

Yes, heavenly hummus will soon be on Kinkerstraat. Because you can never have enough hummus in your life. Settle down or take it home. From beet to traditional.

12. Box Sociaal

During the time I lived in London, I would be at one of my favorite spots at the brunch table every weekend. And preferably at one where an Aussie was behind the stove. Because breakfasts, they can do that well down under. I almost started hyperventilating when I heard that Box Sociaal, the new Aussie hotspot, will soon open its doors.
