This isn't Cannes, is it?

Huh? Already all those red carpet glimpses from the French Riviera again? It's almost hard to imagine, but a year has passed. The Cannes Film Festival has started. Until May 19, you can feel like crap that they are there and you are here. Still a case of FOMO always, huh? The first days of the festival have been relatively ‘tame’ according to most press, but luckily we still have the photos to gawk at. The absolute star of the red carpet so far? Our own Dutchie Romee Strijd. The 22-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel made her debut at the film festival in a metallic pleated dress by Alberta Ferretti with cut-out details. You would almost consider having an arm amputated just to look at least this stunning at one party?!

The absolute blunder: the Russian Elena Lenina. Actress/model/businesswoman (always questionable when you don't really know what you are…). No, that's right, we don't all know her, but she certainly makes sure that changes. What do you wear to one of the chicest high society film parties? Of course: a golden dress with gigantic spikes that makes you look like some kind of inflatable fish with spikes. Hair: a troll hairstyle. Is there no one who can protect this woman from herself? Romee, can't you teach her a few tricks of the trade? Dear people, this Cannes, right?
