This is how the models prepare for Fashion Week

Armed with a portfolio, in skinny jeans, white tee and sneakers, thousands of girls go from casting to casting, but only a few are given the opportunity to be booked as a model for the fashion weeks of the year: Fashion Week. And while the fashion team at our office sits drooling, watching what new appears on the catwalk, I find it especially très interesting how the beautiful little faces have prepared themselves to ultimately steal in those handsome outfits the show . I did some research for you and have lined up the most popular workouts of the moment. Curious about how to get such a streamlined body? Well, here’s how.

Jump rope

Get that good old jump rope out of the closet or from your niece's or nephew's closet. You simply get a fit body by making a few jumps every day. Turn your body a little bit at the moment you jump. By making that sideways movement, you also engage your waist and hips.

Like the Angels

Recently, Romee Strijd shared her workout plan, focusing mainly on her butt. The Victoria’s Secret model starts her workout with 15 minutes of walking on the treadmill, with the incline set to 15%. After warming up her body, she starts with strength exercises on the mat. Romee also ends her workout with the jump rope.

Booty, abs and cardio

You really don’t need to purchase an expensive gym membership, as shown in this workout video by model sisters Schröder. The focus is on the butt and abs – very important – and muscle soreness is guaranteed.

Reformer Pilates workout

Still one of the secrets behind those beautifully tight lines of Victoria’s Secret is the Reformer Pilates workout. These classes are – unlike ‘regular’ pilates – beat driven and fast, but just as effective. By stretching your muscles on the special machine and then loading them, you develop your muscles in length with a nicely toned body as a result. The best part is that you no longer need to take a flight to LA for this. At PLTS in Amsterdam, you can try out the popular sweat session.

Everything on the mat

Boxing, squats, dribbling, push-ups and crunches, crunches, crunches. Get a pair of gloves, lay your mat straight and put on a nice tune. That’s all you need and there are no excuses, girlfriend.
