This is no joke: it is going to FREEZE

All fun and games, this year's hottest summer, but the fun is over. The sunny joy is gone. Gather your down blankets, stay inside as much as possible, and dream of those days in flip-flops... Tonight it will freeze.

We mean it. The chance of frost is serious. In several parts of the Netherlands, the mercury can just reach the freezing point. That is... uh... quite unique for the end of August. The eastern part of the country is in trouble; it was already 1.1 degrees last night. Let's be honest: after those two heatwaves this year, that's quite a struggle. Even crying is in order.

Goodness, how quickly it has gone. Autumn is here. Tomorrow the meteorological autumn also begins, and you can feel it. The warm jackets can come out of the shed again, and don't think you can start your day in a t-shirt in the morning. Think more about scraping your windows. Frozen grass. Such a breath of ice. A biting wind in your face while cycling. Scarves. Mittens. Boots. A thick sweater to live in. Next week it will get increasingly cooler, and the autumn fun won't go unnoticed.

Alright, this weekend it might still be 20 degrees during the day. And the days after that are still manageable during the day. But still. FREEZING COLD at night. Help. We want to go back, please, to the end of April.
