This is the new Edwin Evers
Our Edwin stops after 21 years of making radio with his beloved morning show Evers Staat Op. A great loss, already.
Because with that lovely voice, no traffic jam is too long and no morning too boring. Now De Telegraaf thinks it knows who will succeed Edwin. They have agreed: it will be Frank Dane. And he will take Edwin's seat for a nice price. His salary is 500,000 euros per year. Dane is a logical successor, as he always replaced Edwin when he was on vacation. Radio 538 has not confirmed anything yet, but that announcement will not take long.
Edwin announced his departure last week. “It is the hardest decision I have ever had to make,” he said. But it is time for something else, a new start. “I really need a different life, where I have time and space to do other things.” Presenting a show every workday at 6 o'clock naturally demands a lot from you. That is why all his listeners wish him a few wonderful weeks filled with sleeping in. But we will certainly miss him, as he brought a lovely dose of cheerfulness in the early morning. Frankie will have to show that. But it is clear that he gets to fill a nice spot. Every radio DJ would kill for this. Good luck, Dane. And especially do something fun with your half a million.
