This is what you do with that (almost) empty jar of peanut butter
We all know the misery: the last bit is out of the jar peanut butter and yet the jar has been put back in the cupboard. You were just looking forward to that fresh roll with butter and that creamy peanut butter. Don't be sad, girlfriend. That empty jar is still good for a whole lot of things. For example, you can make a ridiculously delicious breakfast with it, use it as a base for your dressing, and whip up an insane good snack one from the glass jar. How? Like this.
Overnight oats
With a nearly empty jar of nut butter, you can quickly prepare your breakfast for tomorrow morning. Scoop four heaping tablespoons of oats into the jar and fill it up with your favorite milk until the oats are just submerged. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey, shake it up, and put it in the fridge. Top your breakfast the next morning with some banana slices or seeds and you are good to go.
Peanut butter protein smoothie
Not in the mood for oats? Then make a protein smoothie from your jar. Ideal for when you come home from your workout as breakfast or as a snack. Add a tablespoon of your favorite protein powder along with a teaspoon of cocoa powder and 250 ml of almond milk, put the lid on, and then shake the jar hard back and forth. The last remnants of the peanut butter jar create a delicious chocolate protein shake with peanut flavor and extra protein.
Super quick Asian dressing
You can whip up the tastiest Asian dressing in that nearly empty Calvé jar. Put four tablespoons of soy sauce, the juice of a lime, and a tablespoon of sesame oil in the jar, optionally add a little honey and a finely chopped red chili, and shake it up. Intensely delicious over a salad, through noodles, or as a marinade for your chicken.
Choco/peanut nuts
Add a few pieces of dark chocolate to the jar, microwave the jar for half a minute, just until the chocolate is melted. Then add a handful of salted nuts. Put the lid on the jar and shake it up. Spread the nuts out over a baking dish lined with parchment paper and let them cool. Trust me: there is no better snack.
