National Peanut Butter Day:
the 4 tastiest recipes
Where you used to have a choice between creamy and with chunks of nuts, nowadays you can think of anything and it exists. With sea salt, light, chocolate chunks, Belgian chocolate, garlic, fried onion, white chocolate, date, cinnamon, crunchy caramel-sea salt, spicy with a little pepper, coconut flakes, and raisins. Today is the day to enjoy it extra, as it is National Peanut Butter Day. And to celebrate that, I share with you my favorite recipes with peanut butter. 1. Spicy peanut dressing
2 tablespoons peanut butter with chili pepper and lemongrass (The Peanut Butter Store)
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 cloves of garlic
piece of fresh ginger
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp coriander leaves
Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix until you have a smooth dressing.
2. Peanut butter cookies
225 grams of peanut butter
100 grams of soft butter
40 grams of granulated sugar
120 grams of brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
220 grams of spelt flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, soft butter, and egg well together.
3. In another bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
4. Combine all the ingredients and mix until everything is well incorporated.
5. Roll a long log of the cookie dough and wrap it in plastic wrap.
6. Place the dough in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
7. Cut equal amounts of the dough, roll into balls, and press each ball flat with a fork. Turn the fork and form a diamond shape on top of the ball.
8. Bake the cookies for about 8 minutes. The cookies should still be soft inside.
3. Warm peanut chocolate
250 ml whole milk
100 grams of milk chocolate, in pieces
125 grams of Belgian caramel chocolate peanut butter (The Peanut Butter Store)
Take a saucepan and slowly bring the milk to a boil. Add the chocolate to the milk and stir until all the chocolate has melted. Then add the peanut butter and stir until the peanut butter is mixed with the chocolate milk.
4. Peanut butter breakfast bars
2 eggs
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
200 grams almond flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 overripe bananas
120 grams of creamy peanut butter
For the peanut butter cream:
3 tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp almond milk
1 tbsp maple syrup
coarse sea salt
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
3. Mash the bananas in a large bowl, add all the wet ingredients, and fold everything together well.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture and ensure everything is well incorporated.
5. Place the dough in the baking dish and press down firmly with the rounded side of a spoon.
6. Bake the bars for 15 minutes.
7. Let cool and cut into equal pieces.
8. Blend all the ingredients for the sauce in a blender and serve with the bars.
