For the very first time in my life, I am not hesitating in front of the whisky shelf in the liquor store. My father, his father, and now even my little brother: they are all whisky lovers who each have their own preference for taste and brand. But giving them their favorite gift is of course no longer original. So I prefer to give them a surprisingly nice and fun bottle for inspiration. But which one, which one, which one? Well, for the fashion girls among us: we no longer have to worry about that from now on. We are actually dealing with a very nice situation: couture inspired by whisky. Suddenly we know a lot about it..

What's the deal? In honor of the DoubleWood Aged 25 Years Whisky, The Balvenie collaborated with fashion designer Winde Rienstra and Bar The Tailor, resulting in a particularly cool couture dress (made from the wood of whisky barrels, how cool is that?). The dress (and of course the whisky) can be admired at Bar The Tailor of the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. So there’s only one thing to do: toast with your favorite man in question.
