When I stepped into the world of TV magazines about thirteen years ago, I walked straight into paradise. I believe that on my first day I came home with a Mason Pierson brush and a perfume from Comme des Garçons. After a week, I had my first La Prairie in hand. The value of the jar made me dizzy and as I sat on my bike heading to the station, I smelled that distinctive, intensely fresh scent of ‘the blue jar with the silver lid’.
La Prairie is still the pinnacle of pampering the skin for me. And for my mother, because she is a retired beautician and her heart also skips a beat when sniffing a good product. Since we are on vacation together, I packed this luxurious cream in her suitcase to pamper our little skins that really get a small touch-up from sun and sea ’in the evenings. And to sniff it in between, because that scent remains for me the epitome of chic.
