What you really didn't know about Meghan Markle's father

Prince Harry's fiancée has now confirmed that her father will not be attending the wedding, but you already knew that, of course. We're not going to talk about it now, even though her reaction was very charming and almost royal.

But what you really didn't know (or we just found out) is that her father, Thomas Markle senior, indeed worked on Married with Children. Really, my all-time favorite show for when I just got home from school and wanted to secretly watch TV. The theme song immediately echoes in my head: “Love and marriage, love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage, this I tell your brother, you can’t have one without the other.” And then Al Bundy was just enough slouched on the couch. Surpriiiise: Al Bundy is Meghan's father. Just kidding, but he did make sure that the hand under the waistband was perfectly lit, as he was the lighting director of the show. Another fun fact: he is of Dutch-Irish descent. Look, we managed to sneak some Dutch roots into the royal Brits.
