Why Kim K is the worst example ever with her nude photos

Five million likes. And a few thousand more. If you look at Kim K.'s Instagram page, nipples, a bare double D cup, and barely covered vajayjays come flying at you.

Because our Kardashian has been getting naked a lot lately. She posts one nude selfie after another, often wearing nothing more than a tiny pair of panties. And we really mean tiny. Minuscule. A see-through thong. Often curled in a sultry pose. And no, no bra. Her nipples are only covered with tape, diamonds – or nicely chic with absolutely nothing. And although social media enforces many strict rules regarding nudity and exposure, those seem not to apply to Kardashian-West. Actually, you’re not allowed to show any nipple, or else your account gets blocked – that’s the law of Facebook and thus also of Instagram. But not Kim's account, with her 107 million followers. Joe. She gets away with it just fine. No warnings.

Moreover, as if just Kim isn't enough; her husband Kanye proudly posts nude photos of his wife as well. It can't be naked enough for her and Mr. West, and yes; her fans are totally fine with that, because once again: millions and millions of likes are pouring in. And also the jokes. ‘If you have nothing to wear,’ tweets someone with a wink. Okay, I admit: that’s clever. But it’s not really very smart of the global star with her now-famous round shapes, of which even emojis have been made. Of those buttocks, right.

Why is it not smart? This is from a developmental psychology perspective, because we understand that many a man is lustfully following her account. Psychologists are therefore less amused, because Kim is a big role model for many girls, young girls, all over the world. She reaches millions of people daily. They will now think faster that posting and making nude photos is completely okay and permissible. Moreover: that you can earn money with it and get a lot of attention. And that as a woman you just have to be very sexy to be popular. Social media can therefore be very misleading, especially when such an influential type as she does this. And that can cause more problems, because we all know what can happen if your own nude photos end up in the wrong hands. So why would you start? Just think of all the girls and boys who regret a sexy message they have sent in confidence and that suddenly pops up on the internet. Or gets sent to their parents...

Well. Of course, Kimmie can be proud of her body, but let’s hope that not all teenagers will adopt this behavior. Even if you get millions of likes in return.
