Why watching Netflix for a few hours a day is good for your health

I think that half of the Netherlands is overjoyed that it is raining. Thank goodness a weather score of ‘3’ has finally been given.

Because bad weather means unapologetic binge-watching. Calmly watching series after series and feeling anything but guilty about it. You don't have to go outside, do something social. You don't have to entertain other people. You can just relax completely and lie down. The times when you had to go to a video store for this are long gone. In fact, the new generation has no clue what a video store is.

Well, are you ready to binge? We understand. Go ahead and do it. Netflix is actually very good for your health, it turns out.

That has everything to do with that relaxing factor, of course. It makes you very zen. It lowers your stress and makes you happier. Little stress is definitely good for your body and mind, that much is clear. Also nice: you don't need anyone else for it. It's purely a moment for yourself. So you don't necessarily have to watch together with your lover or girlfriends. Not at all. It’s just you and your Gossip Girl.

Moreover, Netflix is something that can give you more mental peace, causing fears and depressions to disappear. If you have a lot of worries in your daily life, for example, about whether you will ever find the right man, or if your girlfriends are being mean, or that the relationship with your sister is not what you want... And then you watch a series where everything is relatable and you see on your screen that everything will be alright, then you have a little less worries in real life. You quickly mirror yourself to the main characters of a series and that can have positive effects. Your own problems suddenly seem a lot smaller than before you started binge-watching.Meghan's love drama in Suits? Then your bickering with your fling is nothing. On average, we watch two hours a day of good old Netflix. Logical, then. Especially now.

Stress disappears where your series appears, that idea. And now you watch even more enjoyably, we are sure of that.
