Sneaky business

On the fall/winter runway, many different animal skins were spotted. We see the giraffe at Dolce & Gabbana, the zebra at Balenciaga, and the old time leopard favorite at Michael Kors. But at number one is the snake, which is very much favored by the fashion crowd.

That the snake print was in hand became clearer than ever during last month's fashion circus, where among others Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Preen, Chloé, and Maison Margiela sent their models down the runway in the coolest snake items. And when we then see the Hadid sisters walking by in an all-over snake look, there is no doubt about it: we have a fashion hit on our hands. So move over those cuddly prints, the snake will be the print of the upcoming season.
