10x where you want to eat in Amsterdam

Are you going to spend a ‘day in Amsterdam’ or have you been living in the city for a while but have run out of hotspots? I have a list of new finds and places that are almost vintage, in West, East, and South. You can go there in a dress or just plop down in skinny jeans. It's a bit like gourmet dining, there is guaranteed to be something on the list that you feel like.
Cecconi’s
On my Insta Stories, someone pops up every evening with a burrata or a mountain of truffle pasta from Cecconi’s. That’s the restaurant of the Soho House. So I searched, because I don’t read books but online menus, and man oh man, this should be at the top of your list.
Spuistraat 210, 1012 VT Amsterdam
Cafe Zurich
That’s that red dome that has been on the Mercatorplein for 100 years. I had never been inside until last week. 10 out of 10. Service top. Price top. Menu top. Kitchen top. Audience top. Styling top. Go there.
Mercatorplein 2b, 1057 CB Amsterdam
Kauffmann
My stomach starts growling like a newborn piglet when opening that menu. Next level falafel eating is done at Kauffmann in West.
Reinier Claeszenstraat 4b 1065 WJ Amsterdam
De Plantage
At Artis in East. I always give this as a tip for ‘a day in Amsterdam’. Reel in your points.
Plantage Kerklaan 36, 1018 CZ Amsterdam
Cafe Cliché
A Michelin-starred chef focusing on Burgundian dining. Delicious. At Cafe Cliché, you eat a traditional steak tartare, venison fillet, and a pavlova with warm cherries and vanilla ice cream. For a price without fuss.
Middenweg 35 1098 AB Amsterdam
Bar Occo
That’s the brasserie of The Dylan. Hip, beautifully casual, and central. By the way, it reminds me a bit of the time when I really wanted to hang out in nice hotels, but had very little to do there with an internship allowance (emphasis on -ance). We always had tea in the lobby of such a boutique hotel. Another nice tip.
Keizersgracht 384, 1016 GB Amsterdam

Terpentijn
After a shopping night at the Bijenkorf completely starving looking for something nearby? At Terpentijn, you can walk in without shame with eight cardboard shoppers.
Rokin 103, 1012 KM Amsterdam
Impero Romano
Because you have to have eaten pasta from a flambéed cheese with fresh truffle at least once.
Amsteldijk 25, 1074 HC Amsterdam
Tony Loco
You might have seen it pop up on your timeline. That’s where I knew Tony Loco from. This pizzeria comes from the chef's hat of The Entourage Group. They are the ones behind Izakaya, Mr Porter, and The Duchess.
Albert Cuypstraat 59, 1072 CM Amsterdam
101 Gowrie
An Australian chef with German and Japanese roots who cooks the Dutch cuisine in a different style. I want to go here. Who are you bringing?
Govert Flinckstraat 326HS, 1073 CJ Amsterdam
