6 facts about redheads

It's official. At least, it's confirmed by ‘sources within the royal house’. Baby Archie is a ginger, just like dad. This means that Meghan must also carry the MC1R gene, because otherwise brown would dominate over red. But it's going to be a reddish boy, and that has its pros and cons.
1. Ouch, slightly less popular with the ladies
Red-haired men are perceived as slightly less attractive by women, while women with red hair have an incredible oh-la-la factor. But Archie is going to completely turn this trend around and put the ginger boy on the map.
2. Less hair
Redheads have less hair than people with other hair colors.
3. Archie is in good company
And in great company, because 40% of the Brits carry the MC1R gene. This doesn't mean they all have red hair because both parents must carry the gene to be able to ‘make’ the red hair color, but still. The highest concentration of redheads can be found in Scotland, Ireland, and the Russian Kazan region.
4. Note to Archie's nurses
If Archie ever needs surgery, he will need 20% more anesthesia than a person with another hair color. Why, no one knows. Doctors suspect it has something to do with the mutated MC1R gene.
5. Good news for when Archie gets older
Redheads go gray much later.
6. No worries, Meghan
Redheads are less tolerant of the sun. Due to the low concentration of eumelanin, they burn quickly. Now you might worry about whether they produce enough vitamin D, but redheads generate their own vitamin D without needing to sit in the sun. Exposure to regular light is already sufficient for them.
