8x why May is still very happy with her car

“Are you ready NOW, May?” Daan and I are on our way from one event to another and need to refuel along the way, and indeed, after four minutes my TWINGO's little belly is full again. And I only have to pay 35 euros. Voilà, one of the many reasons why I am still happy with my car purchase from a year ago. And there are more reasons.

1. It is less taxing on the environment

I used to drive quite a hefty vehicle. I enjoyed that, really. But actually, it can't be done anymore. I mean: the roads in Europe are generally quite good, right? You don't necessarily need a four-wheel drive for that, do you? My Renault TWINGO scores a B-label because it is so clean, which I appreciate.

2. Hatchback

It's not normal what all fits in this little car. Recently, we did some serious shopping at Karwei (a small bench, two poufs, and some bags of firewood) and that just didn't fit in the spacious car of my dearly beloved. He first dropped us off at home, swapped his car for my TWINGO, and went back to Karwei to load everything into my TWINGO. He almost received applause from the bystanders, but it was close. I know which car we will use to pick up the Christmas tree.

3. The turning circle

There it is again, but with this turning circle, you really outpace everyone. No need to turn around in the street, just turn the steering wheel left or right and you've turned 180 degrees. As if it's nothing.

4. Small and yet an automatic

Not every TWINGO has an automatic, but mine does. Often, small cars don't have an automatic because an automatic is relatively expensive and that doesn't quite match the price of the car. But Renault has a system where you can still have an automatic and pay a reasonable amount for a car.

5. People are nicer

Your car tells more about you than your handbag. Moreover, it is visible to many people. A TWINGO is just a friendly little car. People will let you go ahead, give you the benefit of the doubt in tricky situations (not that I've ever had those, of course) and wave at you. You are the socialite of the highway.

6. Front and rear windshield wipers

Just a little about that car of my beloved which was a lot more expensive than mine was. For example, it doesn't even have a rear windshield wiper. My TWINGO does. Equipped with all conveniences.

7. Open sunroof

Not that I use it that much now, but still. I am already looking forward to that first ride in the spring towards Wijk aan Zee.

8. Economical

The TWINGO averages 1 in 15. Now that's economical.
