A plea for pizza on Boxing Day

Feeling the Christmas spirit? Sitting at the table with the whole family to enjoy twisted, drizzled, and extravagant dishes? Accompanied by a robust wine, starting with a bubbly, followed by white and then red for the grand finale? I certainly do. On Christmas Eve, I eagerly start setting the table, plating desserts, and pouring glasses. On the first, I'm still on fire and up for the challenge, but by the time the second comes around, I'm done. Therefore: a plea for pizza on Boxing Day.

Now, it just so happens that I have a new spot. It's actually our neighbor's fault, who invited us for a drink to toast his birthday and suddenly bombarded us with pizza slices. You can hit me with anything, but if it's pizza, I'm going to love you just a little bit more. Where did he get those incredibly delicious creations? Oh, Toni Loco Pizza. You need a few stable factors in your life: an establishment that serves decent burgers, a next-level restaurant for haute cuisine, sushi (of course), and divine pizzas. I found my stable factor at Toni Loco Pizza.

Do you live in Amsterdam? Then just don't make it too complicated on Boxing Day. I'm a hundred, no, a thousand percent sure that your guests will start clapping their hands for a good lounge sofa, a Home Alone or Love Actually, and a selection of pizzas on the table. No one is waiting for all those fancy dishes. Let me whisper a tip to you: Toni Loco has a 50-centimeter pizza. 50 (!) centimeters, boys and girls. It should almost go sideways through your front door. To make it extra festive, Toni also serves premium champagnes and homemade gelato throughout the year. That really completes Christmas this year, doesn't it? Did someone say a three-course menu? A glass of bubbly to start, a 50-centimeter pizza as the main, and some gelato to finish it off. Those long dinners are so overrated. I’d like The Original, an Olivio, and just throw in the Pepperoni.
