Quick quiz question. What did Bill Clinton achieve during his eight years as president? What good things did he do? Well, no idea, but what we do know is that he did NOT have sexual relations with that woman. In other words, Monica Lewinsky. Falling from grace 2.0, that's something we've learned from Bill. Because those sexual relations definitely happened, and how. Lewinskygate, Sexgate, Zippergate – whatever you want to call the scandal, it certainly captivated the world, this extramarital affair.

So it doesn't really surprise me that it's now being turned into a miniseries. What does surprise me is that it's being done by American Crime Story. I would have expected some bad Timelife movie, which recently also adapted the love story of Meghan and Harry (category so-bad-it's-not-even-funny). We know American Crime Story from Netflix, where especially the first season received a lot of attention. It covered the O.J. Simpson case. Absolutely a recommendation by the way, if you haven't seen this first season yet.

The second season was supposed to revolve around Hurricane Katrina, but the production didn't go smoothly, so we're still waiting for that release (and Netflix itself is too). We got The Assassination of Gianni Versace in return. That was certainly nice, but I'm more enthusiastic about this White House scandal that will be adapted. And I'm secretly very curious about how much swearing there has been about this in the Clinton household. I can't imagine that Hillary or Bill is really looking forward to reliving this whole story.

But don't expect some shabby almost-porn series. Apparently, it won't necessarily be about what happened between the sheets, but mainly about the aftermath. Just a refresher: this affair almost cost Clinton quite a bit because he had to appear in court for impeachment. That impeachment was already quite remarkable: Clinton was only the second president to have to resign for this. However, he sought higher ground and was later acquitted of all charges, to serve as president for another three years.

And what does Miss Lewinsky think of this whole series? Well, she seems to be on board. In fact, she will be one of the producers of the series (which I guess has led to even more swearing in the Clinton household). Nowadays, she is a public speaker, and a very successful one too. Additionally, she is active on Twitter and I found out that she is quite a funny woman. Check out this tweet below. Lewinsky definitely gets a plus point for her self-deprecation.
